Fire Department Open House
Annual Fire Department Open House at 135 East Summer Street. Hours are 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm. Come and see the new Fire Station and the Fire Trucks. Meet your Monroe City Fire Fighters. Popcorn and drinks will be served. Events & Participants: Rescue Helicopter Conservation Department Dunking Booth Car Extrication Games for the Kids Historic Firefighting equipment. Hayride at South Lake (2 miles south of Monroe City on Highway 24 West) will be from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Park in the parking lot on the north entrance. Meet at the bottom of the hill on the center entrance. Bring your own lawn chairs. Hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served. Hayride will go around the lake from the north entrance to the south entrance and then back around to the north entrance. Bon fire will be at dusk.
