The Monroe City Library is located in the City Hall/Library Complex located at 109 Second Street
- The library is a department of the City but is governed by a fully autonomous board
- The Library Board meets on the third Monday evening every other month at 6:30 P.M. at the Library
- The Library has a book club that meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month
